Print Know-How
branding/personalisation methods
Diamond Cut or Laser Engraving: The artwork is etched
onto the product using a diamond or laser cutter. Ideal for metal products as it
can never be rubbed off or removed.
Screen Printing: Ink is applied through a stencil screen
of your logo. Usually used for flat surfaces – ideal for plastic, PU and sometimes
for clothing and metal products.
Tampo/pad Printing: Ink is transferred onto a product
by a rubber pad. Ideal for the same materials as screen printing and used when applying
to a curved surface e.g. stress balls, footballs, computer mice.
Embroidery: This method is stitching of the logo/message
onto textiles; ideal for most clothing, hats and bags. The most popular position
on a garment is on the left breast or the right sleeve.
Die Stamping/Embossing: An impression is made on the product
using a heated metal die that is pressed on to the surface. Ideal for leather or
solid metal surfaces, this is also popular as the logo can not be rubbed off over
time.
Hot Foil Blocking: Same as die stamping but colour is
used; coloured foil is placed between the die and the product leaving an impression
filled with colour. Unfortunately it is not possible to PMS match foil colours,
but we can match very close and a printed swatch is available.
